With the unfolding developments in Egypt, it now appears that I wasn’t far from the mark when I ask last week whether the uprising in Tunisia marks the beginning of the Arab revolution that we have been waiting for. It now appears that there is indeed something stirring in the political air of the Arab world. From Tunisia to Yemen, from Egypt to Jordan the people of the Arab world are taking their destiny in their hands and saying enough is enough. It is about time…. Those who make peaceful change impossible, make violent revolution inevitable. The hope is that Mubarak and his cabal will read carefully, the handwriting on the wall and allow for a peaceful transition to real democracy in Egypt…
